NWDS 7.1 ERROR

Hi Experts,

I have installed NWDS 7.1 in my PC which is running on Windows XP OS. When I am opening it, itu2019s not

showing webdynpro java and enterprise portal(EP) perspective.

Itu2019s showing only few perspectives like Java. And I am not able to create a java program in this editor. Itu2019s

throwing error.

I have installed jdk1.5 and jdk is working fine.

Please help me in this.

Hi,

if you install NWDS CE, it will be basically just an empty IDE without SAP plugins. In order to have the plugins, you need to install them via the update site mechanism. In NWDS menu please go to the Help -- Find and Install... -- Software Updates.

I have also seen that you have opened a ticket. I have checked there the screenshots and I am sure this is because you did not update your IDE via the update site. I'll inform the current processor to provide this answer to you there as well.

I am working in EP 7.01 SP7 version and my NWDS version is 7.1 SP11.

Is NWDS7.1 compatiable with EP7.01. Can I deploy my java webdynpro files and portal archieves which I

have developed in NWDS 7.1 SP11 in EP7.
