R/3 4.6C is stopped

Hi Experts,

I have R/3 4.6C server in window 2003 32 bit with Sqlserver 2000.It worked well for some time but suddenly the When start SAP Server is Stopped after few seconds. please find the below log of dev_disp

You need to restart your SAP again, as your MS server not able to bind the MS port.

Try increasing abap/buffer_size

Hello

Step by step for this kind of problems may help you

1. if windows system then do a clean shutdown and do a start again

most of the time it has helped me bit strange but still you can give a try

2. check if databse connection is Ok with R3trans -d

check trans.log

If this works fine then ,no need to touch database at this point

3. check all windows services for sap and database started . if required take restart

4. go to work directory and check all latest logs like dev_disp,dev_ms,dev_w*,stderr etc

also check event logs for that perticular system

5. if shared memory related problems then check this with

sappfpar check pf=/usr/sap/sid/SYS/profile/instance profile name nr=00 name=sid | more

This gives the exact values for memory pools

Can you post the most important log files from the work directory, dev_ms, perhaps a dev_w0.

Are you sure all neccesary services are running properly, your db has been started and so on.
