client copy using RFC

Hi All,

We are planning to client copy from production to quality system of client 700 which has data more than 1TB.

As we are performing with tradition client copy by RFC method

Our Paging file parameters:

rdisp/PG_MAXFS= 125000

O/S Level paging is 12GB.

Kindly suggest do we need to increase the Pagaing file and undo segment.

Regards,

Panu

I will do a client export/import rather than a client copy due to the size of the client.

Hi,

As the volume of data is large (~ 1 TB), please make (increase) rdisp/PG_MAXFS = 250000 (see note 133909).

And also use max. parallel processing (rfc server group) to execute it faster.

Thanks,

Subrata

First do a simulation run and check if it fails with the present settings.

Based on the resources you can also increase the parallel processes . It is better you increase the paging file size as it has no harm and takes space from file system and not main memory.

Dear

I wouldn't recommend doing a client copy using RFC of a client that is 1TB in size.

Is a system copy not an option ? What kind of SAP system is it, version, usage type and so on ?

Kind regards

Tom

Hi Panu,

Our Paging file parameters:
rdisp/PG_MAXFS= 125000
O/S Level paging is 12GB.

Any reason why you are concentrating on Paging and undo segement for client copy.

Thanks
