An unexpected error (File <-> RFC Syn Scenario)

Dear Experts,

My implement scenario is FIle <-> RFC in sync mode,

the message sent to RFC (perform data save) was ok;

when RFC response, I got an unexpected exception as below

Error: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Error encountered while executing mapping: com.sap.aii.af.service.mapping.MappingException: Unsupported mapping type: IDENTITY

Any clues of the exception?

Hi Kaffuman,

Test your response mapping manually, Take the payload from XML message and test your test tab in your mapping.

Hi, experts

I think I found the root cause after checking OSS notes;

(Note 1237645 - Error in Interface Mapping in Integrated scenario)

to solve the bug, upgrade 7.1 SP 5 is a must...

My workaround was just to create mapping for both direction (sync mode) and it worked properly!
