User Input to PPDS in Time and not Quantity...

Hi All -

The production planners would like to enter manual production orders in the PPT or DS board in time and not Qty. Is it possible at all?

For example, after their analysis they realize they have 40 minutes of capacity available for a new SKU and would like to create a planned order for 40 minutes....the planner may not know exactly how much Qty can be made in 40 mins..

Hi,

Can you check whether SAP_PP_CDOC " Capacity driven Order creation suits your need."

You can use this heuristic to create a new planned order or adjust the quantity of an existing planned order so as to ensure the best possible utilization of the resource within a specified period..
