Firefighter Log Report sending reports from previous years.

Hi,

Firefighter Controllers are receiving Firefighter Log Report email alerts with Firefighter Log Report.txt attached.

The issue is this file contains Log data from previous years (as far as from 2006).

The report have the following message:

Attached is the Firefighter Log Report of Firefighter IDs you are responsible for in client 400 of system PS0 for the

Time Period 00/00/0000 00:00:00 TO 11/15/2010 14:08:06 Firefighter Log Report.txt

How can we prevent this from occuring? Controllers need only recent Log reports.

This started after we set the the following Firefighter Configuration parametes to status 'YES':

Retrieve Change Log

Send Log Replort Execution Notification Immediately

Send Log Report Exceution Notification

Send Firefighter Login Notification Immediately

Send FirefighterId Login Notification

Note: We have upgraded Firefighter to GRC 5.3 version. The /VIRSA/ZVFATBAK job is running every hour.

Hi Madhu,

The time period seems intresting. What are the parameters you used for scheduling this job? Are you using the default variant?

Also check note 1039144. Do these email go everytime the job runs or they stop once the job has executed?

We did not specifiy any parameters for this job. The job uses the default parameter. Please see below:

The program /VIRSA/ZVFAT_LOG_REPORT controls the sending of emails. for /VIRSA/ZVFATBAK try using the default variant if there is one. I have not scheduled it for a while, but I remember it being tricky. It has to be every 1 hour and 2 minutes as per the config guide. So that may be a problem.

I think this was known bug... did you checked SAP notes.

what is SP of VIRSANH 5.3

also which other config parameter are set in config tab

please go to SM37 -> USER as * -> job name as * and in program write /VIRSA/*

let me know which program's jobs are running....

Some more information as follows:

System has SP10 for VIRSANH 5.3

Other parameters are the following:

Retrieve Change Log = YES

Critical Transaction Table from Compliance Calibrator (VRAT) = YES

Firefighter Owner Additional Authorization = NO

Remote Function Call

Hourly batch job that runs program /VIRSA/ZVFATBAK is getting cancelled with the following error:

"The internal table "\PROGRAM=/VIRSA/SAPLFF_UTIL_RPT\DATA=OBJBIN[]" could not be

enlarged further.

Memory location: "Session memory"

You attempted to extend the data structure for the management of the

memory blocks for table "\PROGRAM=/VIRSA/SAPLFF_UTIL_RPT\DATA=OBJBIN[]".

"Termination occurred in the ABAP program "/VIRSA/SAPLFF_UTIL_RPT" - in

"/VIRSA/FF_LOG_REPORT_MAIL".

Hi Chinmaya,

Yes RFC parameter has value. The RFC connection as defined in sm59. In our case it's defined in ECC production as PR0.

did you check if any job for program "/VIRSA/FF_LOG_REPORT_MAIL" is running or not..........

Hi Surpreet,

No there are no other jobs that have /VIRSA/FF_LOG_REPORT_MAIL running in the system.

It may be a long shot but check out note 1249526. Also the user id running the background jobs should have the same time zone as the system. Also I would check notes 1383696 and all notes mentioned there in.
