Hi Peter,

Does the user(performing the installation) has

administrative previliges? The user must be a member

of the group "Local Administrators"

Hi

Yes, user is administrator. I've already solved this problem.

I manually performed the follwoing action>>

My computer> Manage> User> and I added the follwing users>>SAPServiceJ2E j2eadm

Aftewards Installation add those users to the group

-Administratiors

-SAP_J2E_GlobalAdmin

-SAP_J2E_LocalAdmin

-SAP_LocalAdmin

-Users

Instalation is running but I see another problem (but this dosn't stop installation)

ERROR 2006-07-21 10:34:22

FSL-06002 Error 1060 (The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

) in execution of a 'OpenService' function, line (266), with parameter (XServer).

BTW Thanks for you prompt response.

I gave you points for answer.

Peter

manually creating user SAPServiceJ2E did not solve the problem for me because I could not set the default password recommended by the installation procedure for NW2004sSP7_Preview. Seems like it does not follow Windows XP (SP1) complexity criteria.

After disabling "Password must meet complexity requirements", installation proceeded.

(Administrative Tools -> Local Security Settings -> Account Policies -> Password Policy)

I suggest that the SAP folks recommend a default password that meets those criteria.
