Accessing netweaver portal instance after installation

Former Member

Hi,

1. We have successfully completed the SAP Netweaver 7.0 Test-Drive X86 edition on Fedora 12.

2. We are able to access the 'SAP Management console' on port 50013 as well (on http://<sid_host>:50013) .

Question

1. We need to access the portal server, but we don't know which process runs it, neither the URL to access. Can someone guide us ?

We have followed all the instructions that accompany the trial CD.

Thanks,

Sriram

Hi Sriram,

Have you installed only NetWeaver AS 7.0 or Enerprise Portal (EP) on platform NetWeaver AS 7.0?

For Portal component:

You have to choose EP and EP core usage types along with AS Java during installation by SAPinst tool. Please confirm this.

For Portal URL:

http://<host>:50000/irj/portal

Assuming your CI instance number: 00

Hi,

The CD that we received for trial from SAP contains the following

SAP Netweaver 7.0, TEST-DRIVE X86 EDITION

SAP Netweaver Application Server

32-Bit for Linux on X86 and IBM DB2

- SAP Netweaver Application Server 7.0

- SAP Netweaver Developer Studio

- DB2 v9.1.0

So, a basic question here is, have we installed the portal server in itself ?

Also, when we click on the 'Process Table' link on the 'SAP Management Console Applet', we see 'Work Process Table Failed' message on the status bar.

Help please.

Thanks,

Sriram

+Not untill you select type as said above to choose EP-Core at the time of Installation

Also, when we click on the 'Process Table' link on the 'SAP Management Console Applet', we see 'Work Process Table Failed' message on the status bar.

Check weather all services started J2ee, sdm and look for the logs if found please update that too in this post
