NW 7.01 Installation stops at Phase 11 - Creating Database

Hello,



It seems that Database Instance couldn't be initialized. Did anyone have similar problems that could be solved ? Please let me know how ! Thanks in advance !

Issue with your CONTROL userID / password.

the only one password i used regarding the conventions was 'control1' for all the users. what's wrong with it ?</b>

as well it wasn't possible to logon manually to database NSP via dbmcli or db manager.

Hello out there,

finally i'm satisfied with a successful installation - without knowing what the problem realy was. </b>

The developer edition was the unsuccessful first try.</b>

So then i started again with the NW 7.01 SP03 ABAP Trial version and - it was successful. </b>

The only things that were different to the unsuccessful try:</b>

- i turned off the modem and the firewall (norton360)</b>

- i assigned swap-memory to the installation drive j: (additional to c:)</b>

my environment:</b>

- WINDOWS XP / SP3 / GERMAN VERSION</b>

- it works with jre 1.6.0_22 as well</b>
