AIX 5.3 ML7 vs AIX 5.3 ML11

Hi,

after upgrade from ML7 to ML11 the performance of system (an R/3 4.7 on Oracle 9.2.0.8) are degraded.

The kernel is a 6.40 (no EXT2) with patch 274 and DBLS 114.

I'm AIX newbie

Have you got any succest?

Hello,

Requirements include Apar IY65454 and Apar IY63076.

Please see SAP note 925871 for Oracle 9.2 maintenance information .

This APARS should be part of ML1. ... it is true?

yes ML11(TL11) has those 2

$ oslevel -r

5300-11

$ instfix -i|egrep 'IY65454|IY63076'

All filesets for IY63076 were found.

All filesets for IY65454 were found.

You should have a look at the latest kernel release for your OS / DB versions. It might also be necessary to check what the patch level of your DB looks like. Given from the fact that you use such an old release there might be some patches missing.

Besides, you are still running a system on Oracle 10g, did you ever consider to perform a DB upgrade to the latest supported version? You should definitely have a look at that.
