Hi,
I have added an attachment type under "Other Attributes" for my form scenario in Design Time (HRASR_DT). This now provides me with the "Add attachment" button whereby attachments can be saved against the created case (SCASE).
In order to simplify user interaction I would like to disable the "paperclip" icon on Adobe Reader so as not to offer two methods of attachment addition which will confuse the user base. I understand the "paperclip" can be categorised as part of "reader extensions".
Grateful if anyone can let me know if this is possible, many thanks.

Mr. Solomon mentionned that it could be part of EHP5. I looked at it quickly but it doesn't seem to be the case.
Is someone can confirm if with EHP5, it is possible to hide the navigation panel? (left toolbar) or some of the icons like the "paperclip".

This functionality is part of EhP5 I believe. Otherwise, as has been said, you don't really have much/any control of the Reader itself.

Hi all,
Thanks for yur replies. Thanks Chris for indicating this may be coming as part of EHP5. We're putting together a list of "maturity" concerns with Adobe HCM P&F to SAP through our direct contacts, of which this will be one question. I'll update the thread to confirm once we have a reply.
Chris many thanks for all your efforts documenting your own trials and tribulations, it has augmented very much my own education travelling this path too!
Hello Jon-Paul,
unfortunately you cannot control the reader rights applied by the ADS. You want to hide the navigation panel buttons on the reader, however I don't think you can do this via scripting. You can do it via a url command:
http://www.example.com/Test.pdf?toolbar=0&navpanes=0&scrollbar=0
<embed src="Test.pdf?toolbar=0&navpanes=0&scrollbar=0">
[http://www.example.com/Test.pdf?toolbar=0&navpanes=0&scrollbar=0 <embed src="Test.pdf?toolbar=0&navpanes=0&scrollbar=0">|http://forums.adobe.com/message/1157835#1157835]
But this is abstracted from you by the HCM framework. You could explore altering this in the framework by doing a mod to the web dynpro QISR_UI, but only if your desperate for this.
A better option is to train users and put some text in the form telling them to use the link of the framework for attachments, And maybe a request in to SAP to provide a way to configure this in future releases...
Regards,
Ben Patterson.
