Hi Gurus,
I am working on the EP 7 SP 7 and MDM 5.5. I am trying to configure the MDM 5.5 into portal. I had followed the document which is in the help.
I am able to create the system.
I am able to see repositories inthe systems.
I configured system with customer repository.
I am trying to use user mapping.
User mapping tab is differing in the EP7 from EP 6.
I followed User administration---> search for user
--> edit --> user mapping and select the system alias for the user.
I selected customer system alis and provided user and password for the repository.
I went back and tried to test the connectivity.
Test Connection with Connector
Test Details:
The test consists of the following steps:
1. Retrieve the default alias of the system
2. Check the connection to the backend application using the connector defined in this system object
Results
Retrieval of default alias successful
Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct.
user mappping is incorrect.
help me in setting user mapping for mdm in portal
thanks
venkat
Hi, I have exactly the same issue but the problem won't go away even after redownloading/reinstalling the 4 sda/sca modules as suggested. I can't seem to connect to a back-end Oracle system either.. Any other areas I need to check ? It is finding the aliases alright, but complains about "user-mapping/connection properties..." I am using the NW2004S Sneak Preview version. Thanks in advance.

Hi Venkata,
The process that you are doing is perfectly fine and it should work.
Just check 1-2 things,
1). Check if the credentials given by you in user mapping for MDM server, can actually allow you to login through MDM Data Manager.
2). MDM allows its users to have blank passwords also. I faced some problem sometime back with giving blank password in user mapping. In that case first try with a user which has some password.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Mausam
