Client Server connectivity

Hello All,

We have installed ECC6.0 IDES server version for our home practice(O/S : Windows2003, Oracle 10.2) and inclient PC we have installed Window XP along with 710 GUI. Installation was successful without any errors.

Added entry in server login details in client machine's GUI.

Now we try to login, the message is showing as Partner<IP Address>:sapdp00 is not reached with Error number as 10061.

We checked in services file(C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc) and at the server side(for 3200& 3300) as well, including the addition of 3600(ms). And also added entry in Hosts file with IP address and server host name.

Pinging is happening from both sides as well.

Please suggest me watelse needs to be done in order to access server from client machine.

Rgds,

Durga

Turn on Remote desktop in system properties on Windows 2003 and check if you are able to do Remote desktop from XP to windows 2003 machine?Have a look at below SAP note to check if your niping is successfull and also make sure the firewalls are turned off if any on SAP host machine.

Note 1341701 - partner 'hostname:service' not reached

do below test to check whether the required ports are opened.

telnet <IP> <port>
