Hello,
I have created a sales order 10094131 on 19.08.2010 for quantity 155, schedule line confirmed for 09.11.2010. Created delivery 80105265, delivery date is 09.11.2010, picking date 07.11.2010.
We tried to pick the product on 08.11.2010 (instead of 07.11.2010), we are getting error message as u201COnly 93 CS from material 515332 are availableu201D.
In CO09, I could see material available quantity is 156. Quantity 63 has allocated for another sales order (10094513) created on 03.11.2010, delivery date is 20.11.2010. System is giving priority to the sales order 10094513. Available quantity 156 u2013 63 (SO 10094513) = 93 open quantity.
May I know why system is NOT allocating material for oldest sales order/open delivery?... is there any settings I need look at or change.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Satish.
Hi Satish,
From my experience, there is always some need ti tune the ATP settings - i.e. those delivered by SAP will not exactly match the clients exact process needs.
It sounds like your second sales order has a hard MM level reservation on the stock. You were able to create the delivery - so the SD ATP check was fine. If you have a problem with the goods issue/picking, I'm thinking it could be due to a reservation.
I've only worked with sales requirements that are implemented as dependent requirements. What are you using in this case?
Sincerely,
J Albert

Assuming that both the sale orders have different sold to party, check in customer master what Delivery Priority and Shipping Conditions are maintained in Sales Area tab.
Of course, it also depends on your availability check configuration.
thanks
