upgrading SAP MDM7.1 SP00 to SP05.

Hi All,

I am currently on SAP MDM 7.1 SP00, need to upgrade to SP05.

I do have the SP05 download.I am new to this installation process & do not have a basis person available

........... anyone pls help me how to proceed.

what next should I do ?

Is it going to ask me for any keys or any specific info?

Is this a complex process ?

........ any thoughts appreceated.

Hi,

Kindly follow the standard steps to upgrade to sp05.There is no special thing taht take has to be taken care.

Lot of guys face one issue after upgrading to sp05.

You could check out Note 1482822 - MDM Server not starting after MDM 7.1 SP05 was installed.

MDM patchs and hotfixes contain all prior patch code, therefore you do not need to stack the SP's when you upgrade. It's a pretty straightforward process, all you need to do is deploy the patch on top of the existing MDM server files. Make sure to download the latest GUI files as well, and those must correlate to the SP release of your MDM server.
