Extended Memory....

Hi,

If our RAM is 20GB, OS SWAP is 40GB, and Extended Memory is 20GB.

Is Extended Memory going to use OS SWAP if there is not enough RAM available at that moment.

OR

Extended Memory always acquire memory from RAM and program dies if not enough memory available.

I could not find a very good explanation of it. Can anybody please clarify it.

I will appreciate it.

Hi Sume,

To my knowledge, extended memory are always reserved in swap and do not use RAM.
