Mapping "NULL" String in MDM

Hi All,

My scenario is R/3(Employee Master Data) -> SAP PI -> SAP MDM. From R/3 one record has String "NULL" as a last name of employee.

From PI the XML file contains the employee last name as value "NULL" . however when the record is imported in MDM , the String "NULL" is considered as NULL value and is getting replaced by blank.

Can any body suggest me any settings so that "NULL" will be considered as a string value like any other string value for last name field.

Hello Sheetal

In Import Manager you can transform any source values to what do you want.

"Map fields/Values->Value conversion and mapping->Converted value"

Just set any value in "Converted value" field instead NULL.

Hi,

In import manager,click on configuration option and set "Default NULL interpretation" to "Overrite existing value with NULLs"

Just try and revert back with your results.
