Hi Buddies,

When I convert Smartform to PDF, Traditional Chinese can not display in PDF, but English version can display.

And same form of Traditional Chinese has no problem when output by physical printers.

I searched in forum and tried some solutions but still can not solve this problem.

Anybody know how can i solve it?

Thank you in advance.

Richard

Hi Richard,

Wheich device type do you use to create the PDF. It should be a traditional Chinese device type like TWSAPWIN. Also it is important that the language key of the form is traditional Chinese.(ZF) Finally the font used in the form for the traditional Chinese characters should be a traditional Chinese font like TWSONG.

Alternatively, if you have a Unicode system, the PDFcan be created by Unicode cascading fonts device type SWINCF or PDFUC.(see SAP note 999712) Here the langauge key of the fomr and the font are not important.

Finally, the Adobe reader must have the Asian language pack installed.

Thank you Aidan. Your explaination is very clear and help me solved this issue.

The cause is that I did not use a device type with you said.

Thank you very much.

Richard
