DP Realignment

Hello Folks,

We are on SCM 5.1.

Attempting to realign two characteristics in one step - it is erroring out with the message " Realignment of Complex Generated Selections is not possible"

Is there a way to do this as there are many reocords and splitting them would be quite a manual task.

Appreciate any help on this!

Hi Liz,

Realignment does not support more than one characteristic realignment in a single step. It have to be broken down into multiple steps.

I would suggest developing a custom ABAP Code to populate the table, so that it can be used in the long run as well.

Hi Liz.

For SCM 5.0 , there was a technical restriction on size of the generated table.

The size of the generated realignment and copy table and therefore the number of characteristics in these tables are restricted . This is a general technical restriction of a DB-table in which a line can not exceed an estimated total of around 2000 characters

I am not sure if this applies to your case.

Trying a smaller data set mey help to check.

Can you here xplain about the 'copy' function in the Realignment? It is associated with planning area and its versions. Please explain in little detail of what this does.

Hi,

Copy alignment

1) Is time specific

2) The CVCs needs to be equal

3) The delete source option is not there

4) It is only for planning area - can cause changes only for KFs
