XI File Adapter - Receiver

Does anyone know a good method for creating a formatted text from a Receiver File Adapter? For example, I would like to post data from an IDOC in SAP R/3 to XI and generate a fixed length flat file at the receive end.

SAP R/3(IDOC)-->(SOAP XML) --> XI (SOAP XML) --> File Adapter > (non-xml text)> Fixed length File

Hi Mark,

you can use the content conversion in the file adapter to solve a lot of requirements, but if you need to write (or read) a deep structure it could be very difficult or sometimes not possible.
