BPC NW_Failed to activate SAP NetWeaver BI InfoObject for dimension

Hello to all!

This is ask about an issue that I'm having With BPC 7.0 NW, when I'm trying to modify a property from a dimension (Delete an existing property or modify the length) I get an error that says:

Failed to Activate BI InfoObject for dimension.

I found a SAP note which give me some steps to do:

1. Run program UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT.

2. Select the appropriate Application Set.

3. Tick the box ONLY for these two options "Activate BI Business Content" and "Update DM Default DM Instructions".

4. Execute the program.

I did all the above steps and the problem is still happening, does somebody knows what else I could try to solve this issue?

Your info object might have been locked. You may need to run the attribute change run. You can see that in RSA1 menu options

or look for the logs

Hello,

Are you able to processthe dimension in question from BPC admin without making any changes to property ?

If i am correct , Usually change run attribute is run to activate the master data in other associated tables.

Probably you should tryfrom the info object maintence from BI but it is not the preferred/suggested method.

You can defintely check whether it is active in the backend.
