message customization

Hello,

I have standard messages displaying on web dynpro screen for validating field lengths and types using Simple Types. Though some of these messages make sense, some not. As a result I want to change the message format to more intuitive format. I am wondering whether anyone knows how to do it.

Since these are standard messages displayed by the Web Dynpro Framework, can we change them at all?

Standard Message : "The Date format is invalid. The following formats are possible : 11/25/2008.

Desired Custom Message : The Date format is invalid. Please enter it in the following format : MM/DD/YYYY.

Any suggestions? tips? Appreciate any help.

HI Sunita,

If you are using predefined data types like date, you have to live with this messages.
