EWA reports not visible in DSWP solutions

Dear all,

we are a multi customer hoster and have a central solution manger. Since about a week all EWA report entries are without

links in DSQP and we can not access the EWA reports over DSWP. Only a text is displayd for the missing reports. In the SDCCN

logs of the back end systems we can not see any errors be the transfers of the EWA data to the solution manager, the log of the job "SM:EXEC SERVICES" is ok, too and the solutions are available and accessable in ta DSA or DSSESS; but not accessable in DSWP. What could be the problem?

the flag in the solution overview is red, and all ewa reports are listed in DSWP > <SOLUTION#> > Solution Monitoring > EarlyWatchAlerts as text entry and not as link; I can not access the EWA report from here like in the past. It is not possible to accass and display the existing EWA information over DSWP.

Hello René,

RED Flags in DSWP for the EWA reports in question mean that the session data is expired. Basically SOLMAN tried to generate these reports and it waited for a long period to get the data from the Satellite system. It finally gave up on waiting and made the sessions red rated as Overdue Sessions.

The issue basically is that the data did not get to Solution Manager from the Satellite system.

This may be caused with any of these:

Faulty RFC. Please check connections from Satellite system to Solman.

Wrong installation number, please match the satellite system number from status with SMSY and also in SAP Service Marketplace.

Wrong License or Expired, please validate this.

Perform a REFRESH SESSION or MAINTENANCE TASK yourself on SDCCN to see the response.

Perhaps the MAINTENANCE TASK Job is not scheduled in SDCCN of your satellite system?

If it's scheduled, also validate that the user in charge of running it is valid with proper authority and that the password of the user has not been changed.

The issue is one of the above and i'm sure you will get it fixed by following the recommendations

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark, I've checked the session data with transaction DSA and DSSESS; all sessions are available. And on the other side, up to the last weaks all EWA sessions were displayed in DSWP currectly. Butt all allready generated EWA reports are currently not visible over DSWP. The exists (checkt with DSA) but not accessible in the DSWP screen.

> Faulty RFC. Please check connections from Satellite system to Solman.

- all RFCs working fine and the session data were correctly send form the satalite system to the CEN system; incl. the correct working job SM:EXEC SERVICES; no errors in the log file

> Wrong installation number, please match the satellite system number from status with SMSY and also in SAP Service Marketplace.

- all correct, the manual synchonisation works fine with the SMSY data and the SAP.NET

> Wrong License or Expired, please validate this.

- no expired license in the CEN system

> Perform a REFRESH SESSION or MAINTENANCE TASK yourself on SDCCN to see the response.

- allready exists and working fine... no errors in the logs... creating EWA sessions as planed in CEN... no problems with it

> Perhaps the MAINTENANCE TASK Job is not scheduled in SDCCN of your satellite system?

- allready exists

> If it's scheduled, also validate that the user in charge of running it is valid with proper authority and that the password of the user has not been changed.

- all fine

Hello René,

Are you saying that everything is workking fine now but the EWA's that are in DSWP that are older are RED Flagged?

If the data was not sent to them in the past you may try to do a REFRESH SESSION on SDCCN (Satellite) to send them through now but only so much you can do for older reports. If you do a REFRESH SESSION and they still are red flagged then I would not worry about them any more as the issue is no longer happening.

Thanks,

Mark

that is a good point; our session refresh job works fine, but the job SM:SYNC SAP SESSIONS fails; it cant find the following solution: 10.11.2010 05:30:20 Unable to open solution FBC7D64AA6EB7561E1000000AC1D1F1D

But we can not find the solution in table SMSY_SYSTEM or V_CBPMODELALL_F4... we have opened currently a message to SAP.

Could it be, that this inconsitence is the main problem for the not displayed EWA reports in the DSWP transaction for all our solutions?

Hi René,

That is a possibility. I would let the message at SAP complete to see if it would resolve your issue with the missing solutions.

Thanks,

Mark

We created a call to SAP; and find out that this was a specific problem. The status in the table .DSVASSESSADMIN for a lot of messages was set to status X but the data were available in the system. I've updated the status to O and all messages were availbale again... thx

...SAPSR3.DSVASSESSADMIN set STATUS='O' where STATUS='X';...

Hello Rene,

Any answer from SAP as to why this happened all of a sudden in your solman system ?

It would be helpful.

Thanks,

Regards,

Kaustubh.

The change date was the same like the Business Optimization Service for a customer and the laste change user in the table was the user SAPSUPPORT. No, I have no answer from SAP about that
