Hi. We're in the process of setting up CDMC and digging through the prerequisites. Note 1244713 ostensibly tells how to set up the RFC connections, but we're finding it's a bit short on details.
This paragraph - "a) Create the relevant RFC-destinations: for CDMC Clearing Analysis you need a CPIC user, for CDMC Upgrade/Change Impact Analysis a dialog user, for CDMC Change & Transport System Analysis a dialog user; use logon language English."
is this basically saying to create an RFC for each needed connection with those "user types" for logon info? Do we need RFCs from teh control system to the Stats/Ref/Analysis systems, as well as between those systems directly? Are these trusted/untrusted connections? There doesn't seem to be any clear diagram of how the communication is flowing with this tool
Any help appreciated.
Thanks!
Bernie
Hello Bernie,
regarding the roles I can give the following recs:
CDMC_ANALYSIS Solution Manager to CDMC Analysis Systems role: SAP_CDMC_USER (user: dia)
CDMC_REFERENCE Solution Manager to CDMC Reference Systems
AND CDMC Analysis System to CDMC Reference
System (see SAP Note 1490020) role: SAP_CDMC_USER (user: dia)
CDMC_STAT Solution Manager to CDMC Statistics System
(productive system) role: SAP_CDMC_STAT_SYSTEM (user: CPIC)
Please copy the roles to the Z-name space following the Post-installation steps for CDMC from SAP Note 1244713.
The roles contain the necessary authorizations to carry out the necessary CDMC projects.
Best regards,
Sylke
