CPU utilization in sap srm server is high..

Hi all,

Please provide me solution for high CPU Utilization and server is AIX server. Let me know trouble shooting steps.

For AIX at the o/s level you can use topas or nmon to check the process that are taking up the highest CPU's. Or use ST06 at the sap level.

Once, you have determined the PID of the process check in SM50 what the process is doing & reason behind it hogging a lot a CPU time.

And then from there on you need to determine if this is abnormal or not. Check whether it is a Z-report or a large table which is being read, etc.

In ST06 --> detailed analysis menu --> top CPU process, you should be able to trace what going on. Trace which process eating up your CPU.
