Role of Solution Manager in SAP MII ?

Hi Experts

Our client is asking whether Solution Manager is needed to be installed in their enterprise landscape, since this one can be used for configuration management related to SAP MII activities like as follows

1. Generate Installation Key for SAP MII installation

2. Download the SAP software patches

3. Facilitate go-live service check from SAP

4. Early watch configuration/monitoring

Does anyone have used SolMan for MII in projects? Or can anyone give opinions on this regarding use of Solution Manager for SAP MII

I'm not sure if Sol man is actually required for an MII installation. However, read through the master guide and installation guide. That should give you the answer you're looking for.

Hi Som,

Are you using other feature of Solution Manager as well ( like RCA etc) .

Just want to evaluate on the usage of Solman with MII
