Reg: CPIC_TRACE - Not genetrating the CPICTRC file

Hello All,

I need to activate the CPIC_TRACE with my XI System and dev_rd gateway trace in message server of the SAP.

for activating the trace, i have set the Environmental Variable "Unix"

--- setenv CPIC_TRACE 2

but i don't find any tracefile CPICTRC<pid> in current location and also in /usr/sap/SID/DVinstanceno/work

Is their any other step missing or i need to extend the trace levels in any other dyamic parameter ?

could you please help me out in activating the CPIC_TRACE ? If possible with steps. I have gone throught the sap Note 42867
