business partner already exist approach

Hello Experts,

I have question about business partner properties - approach. Whats the best approach/action to follow when business partner already exist and user creates new business partner with same details without realizing that customer already exist?

Is it possible to link this newly created business partner to existing one? Any approach on this would be of real help.

Hi,

1.Usually they have to search the business partner with adress details and then they hve to create if he is not.

2. Use External Number range

if you want merge business partners (duplicates) occurring several times,

you can find further information about this topic on the SAP Help Portal

under the address http://help.sap.com -> SAP Business Suite -> SAP

Customer Relationship Management -> SAP CRM 2007 -> Application Help ->

sap CRM --> Components and Functions --> Master Data -> Business Partners -> Functions -> Data Cleansing or Data

Quality Assurance.

In future please activate the duplicate ckeck.

You might also consider deleting duplicate business partners using transaction BUPA_DEL
