Model my Access by

Hi team,

For Slelect the type of Access : Model my Access by..i am not able to select roles.The checkbox is disabled.

Can anyone please suggest.

What is your GRC version and what SP you are on?

Hi Charukesh,

You can only select roles which are imported to CUP. The roles for which the checkbox is grayed out are not in CUP database.

This is obvious, when there are users where you can select half of the roles assigned for the "model my access by" option.

This is the desired behaviour.

It allows you to control which roles may be part of a request. It lets you avoid people selecting "unofficial" roles, and it makes sure that all roles that are selected have been maintained properly (assigned attributes and approvers, for example).

Dear Charukesh,

In CUP, when you select Model my Access By in Role Selection and search a particular User ID you will be able to see all the roles assigned to him in the backend system. These roles will be grayed out if they are not imported into CUP.
