File response

We receiving files from Vendor. Our Management wants to send a RESPONSE to the vendor once the FILE is received. How can we achieve that?

Should I need to develop something in XI for this?

Hi,

One you start processing the file, parallely you can send a mail also to the vendor saying that this file is received.

Depending on the status you want to give saying successfully processed or received you can call the mail adapter after sending the IDoc or as soon as you pick the file.
