we are on SAP R/3 4.7 windows/sql.
We have always used print on LPFRONT, with the printers installed locally on the user pc ( using PCL6 driver ).
LPFRONT is configured so :
device type : SAPWIN : Rel.4.x/SAPlpd 4.09+ ONLY!
Host spool system access method : F: Printing on Front End Computer
Host printer : __DEFAULT
We have many printer (all RICOH printer ) and this configuration work very well.
Now we have buy new ricoh printer and we conficured the printers on windows print server and installed locally the new printers on the user pc.
On two model printer (ricoh NRG MP 5001 and ricoh NRG MP 171) we have the problem on printing graphics in SAPSCRIPT , for example the company logo ( bitmap loaded by se78 ) is not printed in the correct position but printed moved down incorrectly !!! so after many test , loading drivers PCL5 on this two printer model solve the problem in sap but we have to load driver pcl5 on the print server and this is a problem for us , this create problem in other sap print for example abap list printing . we want to use PCL6 driver.
Is there any kind of update of device type SAPWIN ?
We try to change Device type of LPFRONT but if we change the other printers model does not work correctly.
