Hello,
We are an MTO company using assembly processing - where our sales orders create a project based on a standard network template. On the network template we have dependencies assigned to the activities. These dependencies will update some data on the activities, based on characteristics entered on the sales order.
When the sales order initially creates the operative network, the dependencies act as expected and update the data for the activities. However, if we change the characteristics on the sales order (after the network has already been created) the dependencies don't execute and the activity data does not change.
Has anyone run into this situation? Do we need to do something special to trigger the dependencies to re-execute? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Melissa
Hello,
After some more investigating it looks like if our project network is in the REL status, the change comparison and change steps are not being done automatically. (If they are in CRTD status, this is done automatically). We have to manually do these steps on the network (in CJ20N) to get the network to update based on the characteristic changes in the sales order.
Does anyone know how we can get this to happen automatically?
Thank you again,
Melissa
