TDSHL on Oracle/NT

I am doing a TDSHL on Oracle/NT by following this link:

In above link, Markus says for import

1. if you have an already installed system uninstall it

2. start sapinst normally, choose system copy and point to the export you created

3. install the system normally (as a new installation)

4. if you want to make sure the import works as the export choose "start migration monitor manually"

5. if sapinst stops and requests you to start migration monitor copy the kernel from source system to target system

6. configure import_monitor_cmd.properties and start migmon

I guess the Oracle installation happens at step 3 listed above.

Would you please confirm that?

Thank you.

If oracle is not installed on the target system then you will need to install it before starting the imports. If Oracle was installed on the target before starting shell, then you do not need to uninstall it, just delete the database instance.

There's no need to uninstall the Oracle software, you can just choose the option to delete the database.
