When a user creates a new item in a shopping cart, the default setting for it is to be created as a Material type item. I have a requirement, though, that new items have a default Item Type setting as Service. I initially got this to work by using an implementation of BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI to set the Item Type, but this causes issues when a user wants to copy a shopping cart (the BADI causes all items on the copy to get set as Service, regardless of their setting, and I haven't found a workaround), so I am looking for an alternative solution.
It seems to me there should be a way to set the Item Type default at the dynpro level, but so far haven't figured out how to do so. Any suggestions?
