SUM mangaged /non-HU managed storage location

I am trying to put away Handling Units using inbound deliveries into SUM managed warehouse, which is non- hu managed. what i expected is auto TO split based on HU from inbound delivery, and SU number same as HU, but it does not, when i create TO for the inbound, the system couldn't find any HU,

Is there any body who can help me on this?

If no HUM requirement is set for the receiving storage location why do you expect the system to behave as in case of a storage location with HUM requirement???

In our warehouse, there are HU as well as non-packed stock, so i didn't activate HUM for the storage locaiton

Is it possible to make it work though?

I.e. to be able to use the HU as a SU in the warehouse WITHOUT setting the WM storage location to be HU managed?

Please advise...
