How to connect to a SAP system without login ?

Former Member

Dear SAP,

I would like to connect to SAP from an MS-Excel sheet, without login.

Example :

In my MS-Excel sheet, I have a list of 20 SAP systems.

I click or I choose a system, and automatically, I am logued in the SAP system without enterring user and pwd.

I do not want to use the single-sign on mechanism.

I know this is possible, I do not find any longer the corresponding guide.

Best regards

NetweaverAdmin.

Dear Kaushal,

Great and thanks for your feedback.

I have followed your procedure and it works.

But I still have a MS-Office when I open the shorcut.

"Some files can contaminate or damage your computer.

"It is important to ensure that this file is from a reliable source."

"Would you open this file ?"

Do you know how to eliminate the warning ?

I have added entries in registery as you recommand, but without success.

Dear Kaushal,

Thanks for your feedback.

I have copied the hypertext link in a MS-Excel file.

Method 2

1. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WMVFile\EditFlags registry subkey does not exist.

Method 1

I use Windows 7.

Where do you find this option ?

"On the File Types tab, select the appropriate file name extension SAP in the Registered File Types box" ?

If you have time, great and thanks in advance.

You can do it in this way:

1. login the SAP system firstly with your user and password

2. click the button "Customize Local Layout" from the toolbar or just press "Alt + F12"

3. then select "Create shortcut...", provide all the informatioin, including user/password and save the shortcut as a local

file.

4. repeat 1) ~3) to create all the shortcuts for all of the system.

5. finally embed such shortcut files to your Excel.

Thanks and best regards,

Thunder
