EMC Networker restore fails: NSR_SAVETIMEFORMAT

Hi,

need to restore a database from backup. Backup is taken with external backup tool networker.

All backups are visible in the backup history.

However, restores fail because the save time is not recognized.

I tried the advice in SAP Note Number: 709670, but no success.

Details:

If I set 'NSR_SAVETIMEFORMAT': 'yyyy/mm/dd HH:MM:SS AM', the log file shows:

NetWorker has finished the query successfully.

Analyzing NetWorker's answer.

The line ' name prev ssid lvl date time total save time' is ignored, as it does not start with the backup name SAPDB:NDI_on_sygosrv126.

The line 'SAPDB:NDI_on_sygosrv126 0 3 03.10.2010 20:01:37 124405254024 1286128897' is ignored, as it does not have a date/time of the format yyyy/mm/dd HH:MM:SS AM.

The line 'SAPDB:NDI_on_sygosrv126 0 1 04.10.2010 00:00:47 526088824 1286143247' is ignored, as it does not have a date/time of the format yyyy/mm/dd HH:MM:SS AM.

The line 'SAPDB:NDI_on_sygosrv126 0 1 05.10.2010 00:00:25 255441132 1286229625' is ignored, as it does not have a date/time of the format yyyy/mm/dd HH:MM:SS AM.

If I follow Note 709670 and set 'NSR_SAVETIMEFORMAT': 'dd.mm.yyyy HH:MM:SS', then there is no line analyzed, only the header.

NetWorker has finished the query successfully.

Hi all,

solution: There had been too many old backups in the backup history. Manually purging of dbm.ebf, dbm.knl and dbm.mdf to 30 entries solved the problem.

Together with setting NSR_SAVETIMEFORMAT to "dd.mm.yyyy HH:MM:SS" I am able to restore.

Thanks

Peter
