Seeking Advice on which SD course to take

Former Member

Dear SD Experts,

Am considering taking up a SD course as I long to become a functional consultant.

Just 1 problem. I do not know which module to take and for a module, which course to take!!!

SAP course schedule I found :

Consultant profile "Order Fullfillment" - SD

-

1. TSCM60 Order Fulfillment I (with SAP125, TERP01, TERP02, TERP61 and SM001)

2. TSCM62 Order Fulfillment II (incl. Case Study)

======> Which track / course should I take? 1 or 2? I am new to SD. never used SAP SD before. Which is more usefule to a beginner? Both are 10 days and priced about the same (number 2 is cheaper).

======> to qualify for certification, does it mean either track taken qualifies me for the exam?

Would really really appreciate your kind advice as I really need to decide which course to take or not to take at all.

Best regards

John

Hello Sunil,

The website showed this info :

SAP ERP Sales and Service contains only:

Sales Order Management

Aftermarket Sales & Services

Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)- Global Trade Services

but the coure schedule shows :

mySAP Supply Chain Management - Order Fulfillment (SD)

SCM600 Processes in Sales & Distribution (with ERP040)

SCM610 Delivery Processes (with SCM621)

SCM611 Transportation

SCM615 Billing

SCM650 Cross Funct. Customizing in SD

SCM670 Global Available to Promise

and

Consultant profile "Order Fullfillment" - SD

TSCM60 Order Fulfillment I (with SAP125, TERP01, TERP02, TERP61 and SM001)

TSCM62 Order Fulfillment II (incl. Case Study)

so, it is very confusing to me. Seems like the Training Catalog shows different info than the Course Schedule.

Pls can someone clarify the above.

Thanks!

John

Hi John,

To take up the SD course, you need to take it up from SAP authorized training centres like Siemens and any other ATC.

I suggest you go to them, discuss your profile with them and gradually choose the right module....

As far as I know, it is TSCM 60 & 62... please check with the ATC once.

hi Koushik,

Am i right to assume that the academy need not cover all the individual courses , for example :

SCM611 Transportation

?

thanks! Points awarded.

Hi John,

you need to cover only the certification curriculum..... I am not sure if Transportation module is there or not in the certification course. You just need to follow TSCM 60 & 62....

Thanks

Koushik
