SMTP Code Page / Charset

Dear all,

I have a problem with SMTP Code Page / Charset.

In standard ECC 6.0 system - SMTP (Code Page: 0 No conversion into other Characters Set), when sending an email with Unicode content, I can receive the email in charset="utf-8" (viewable).

But in IDES ECC 6.0 system - SMTP (Code Page: 0 No conversion into other Characters Set or 4110 Unicode UTF-8 or ...), when sending an email with Unicode content, I receive the email in charset="iso-8859-1" (un-viewable).

So I wonder there should be somewhere (NOT in TCode SCOT) sets the SMTP charset to "iso-8859-1".

Regards,

Goto SCOT --> double click SMTP --> new windows opens --> here you can maintan the code page settings.

Toan,

Nope SMTP sets the character set for code-page in the SCOT definition itself & no where else.

In IDES ECC 6.0 system, TCode SBWP, if I create a new message (email) with Unicode content in my language (Vietnamese), then I receive the email in charset="utf-8" (viewable). But by default, language attribute is English.

In standard ECC 6.0 system, TCode SBWP, no need to change default language English.

Well, don't know why.
