Restart Web Container (J2EE) on live system?

Dear Forum,

Can the J2EE Portal Visual Admin "Web Container" be restarted in a live production portal without interrupting anything? I have changed value for SessionTimeout and want it enabled. Does it require system restart or would stop/start of Web Container be enough?

I suppose stop and start of webcontainer will not do as some other services may be responsible for same .

Better to wait for system downtime to avoid any error as even if you restart WEBCONTAINER none of your application will work during that time and sometimes it will throw dependency errors.

As per Note 1306371 not mentioned about restart service or application, mean the new value should be activated once you update.
