in WM what is better- posting Mtrl Doc-TR-TO- or IBD-TO-Mtrl Doc

Hi all,

I have only worked with following sequence in LEWM SCM:

Considering Goods receipt from Purchase order GR-> IBD->TO->Confrm TO->Material Document posted.

But There is also alternative option available as: GR-> Mtrl Doc Posted -> TR -> TO -> Confrm TO. And I have not workde with this scenario.

_Can any one help / guide me what is the best practice._ Because other scenarios like inter-company, intra comnpany & Goods movement from WM HU & Non HU WM Location & other possible complicated business scenarios can also happen.

Hi,

Both scenarios can be used based on the attributes of materials. like if you are using delicate materials which can be damaged while doing physical movement for bin transfer from interim storage then you should always create TO first and then Goods receipt and vice versa.
