In the life cycle definition we first need to define some characteristics. ( Normally it is defined as MATNR and LOCNO ).
What does this control ? Any thoughts please ?
Thank you

Hi KK,
Life cycle planning is used for a product which does not have a history, i.e. a newly introduced product. If we wish to draw a lifecycle of a product and we dont have a history, then we usually create a 'like profile', ie we say that this product's lifecycle will behave same as the 'like' product.
Hence we define that for a newly introduced product (9AMATNR) at a location (9ALOCNO) what would be the resembling product (this product has a history and hence a life cycle graph).
Hope this addresses your query.
