Accessing old DMS files from new SAP instance

Hi

we have been using SAP DMS for quite sometime and now migrated our SAP instance to new server. We would like to use the same content server / file servers from the new instance, keeping the old connections intact (for viewing old documents).

Let me know technically is it possible? if yes, what steps need to be done?

Thank you for reply. As we migrated into new instance, we are copying only the open PO/ PR etc. For these, the documents are already attached in old system (there are around 20,000 such open PR's). The idea is to have single repository, but accesing from different SAP systems (for old documents, users will use the old system and for new, the migrated system). The issue here is, how can we ensure the PR number which is migrated to new sytem with the same number as in old, access the document from DMS?
