Hi All,
we had got this error message after our delta report (CCR job) failed.
The error message:
No shipment could be selected(/SAPAPO/CIF-016). Batch Job Cancelled due to communication error( /SAPAPO/CIF-863).
Please note that this CCR is run for Sales Order and Shipments.
please can anyone let me know as to why did this happen/what is the cause of this failure.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
PP.
Hi,
Even I am getting similar error for batch job failure.
Error says - background job terminated due to communication error.
After re-running second time it runs successfully.
I want to understand -
1. Why it failed in first iteration?
2. What was the correction done which made it run after it was re-executed?
3. How this can be avoided in future?
Thanks in advance.

Dear PP,
I assume the reason for this is that you call /SAPAPO/CCR with integration model with object type 'Shipments', but this integration model does not contain any data of that type (i.e. no transportation planning points). Without transportation planning point in the integration model, the transaction is not able to read any data from ERP.
So usually, you would need to either change the selected IM to one that contains transportation planning points, or remove the IM from the selection in /SAPAPO/CCR - then the data would correctly be selected in ERP.
I hope I could help.
Regards,
Tibor

Hi,
Communciation error normally refers to problem in the APO-ECC connectvity.
Please test the connectvity between the two systems ( RFC connections SM59 ).
