Clarification about. - Service desk Implementation

Hi, all, I'm a basis consultant.

I have one guide titled - "Configuration Service Desk for VAR"

I need implement Service desk in my company(A Healtcare company),

this guide is very descriptible as step a step.. then Can I follow this guide in my implementation process.?

the previos question because i can´t find any good guide for implementation in NON VAR escenary.

Can you suggest me, how can I face the implementation. Any can share some documents or recommendations?

once you open this you would be able to see a variety of service desk related saptutor files and one of those is the

--> How to Maintain IMG for Service Desk , this is the one that talks about the configuration of service desk via IMG (transaction spro)

By the way, even if you are on a higher version of solman release, this saptutor is still very much relevent and applicable at

times.

There are also some exisiting SDN resources that maybe helpful too

I have a question..

"What are the main differences between an implementation of service desk and service desk for VAR*

Almost all the steps are similary and only change some specific steps for var?? o the process is totally different.

Hi,

Off hand, I could think of are a few areas;

For Standard VAR scenario, the status profile should be SLFC0001 and

the action profile should be "AI_SDK_STANDARD".

You may know that in VAR scenario, there is a action "Send message

automatically to SAP", this action will be triggered only the status

"Send to SAP automatically(E0011)" is set in Further status. And

this status only exists in status profile SLFC0001.

As you know VAR is meant for resellers thus able to support different customer numbers.

in this case, some settings ie. Badi have to be activated, some example with the VAR scenarios are available in the following notes that affects the implementation on top of a service desk implementation

1023598 SAP Solution Manager Service Desk for service providers

1246945 Incorrect s-user determination with several custome

1140822 SAP customer number for installation number &1 unkn
