Lock Mechanism in MDM

Hi Experts,

Do we have Lock Mechanism in MDM to know which user is editing a particular record, some thing like in SAP ECC where ENQUEUE and DEQUEUE tables say who is editing a record.

we are facing few problems with users when they login to MDM portal, when a user is editing a record and if other user tries to edit the same record. he/she get's a warning message " Record is being edited by another user" but not the User ID of the user who is editing the record.it will be help full if user id also gets displayed with the message.

Is there any provision as such? do we have any workaround for that?

Currently we are in SAP MDM 7.1 SP04.

You can achieve the requirement that you have using the Change Tracking concepts of MDM.

Hi sudheendra,

Every time user needs to log in change tracker and check , which is not possible, i need some thing dynamically User id to be displayed with the error message.

is it posssible?

You can acheive this by creating customizing iview by using MDM Java API
