ALV Cell Field as mandatory

Hi,

I have an Webdynpro Editable ALV with some as drop down values. I am looking for

an example code, user selects a value in the ALV Column drop down based on this value

one of the column Cell should be made as mandatory input.Can you pls let me know how to

get this.

Hi,

you can achieve your functionality by using cell varinat. you need to put cell variants(depending upon variants you required) for your column and insert the cell editor for each cell variant. depnding upon the user selection for dropdown you can activate the specific cell variant for that column.

Do you have an example code how to achieve this ?? Issue is when every we enter data in a ALV row depending on the entry the next column cell of the row should be mandatory.

In the above thread i have explained how to use cell variants in WD table to have different search help for each row. Same applieds for ALV also.

this should give you fair idea on how cell variant can help you.
