"Posting date must not be smaller than 01.01.2007"

I have one Issue.

ISSUE:

I have document 982090169 with ZL2Q document type (like in Prod) with billing date 31.12.2006

(since the period in RDI is open from January 2007), The posting here is like required u2013 document date derived from the billing date with the value of 31/12/2006 and the posting date is 1/1/2007.

Then I have created S1 document 982090170 to cancel 982090169.

When I try to post it I am getting the same error massage:

"Posting date must not be smaller than 01.01.2007"

When they tried to replicate the scenario in RDI which is similar to prod they are facing this error.

So we request you to provide your updates about this issue if you have any idea?

Hi Srinivas,

Message F5362 usuallly occurs in function AC_DOCUMENT_REVERSE,

that is during the new cancellation procedure. Please check the attached

note 1259505.

As explained in note 339928, if the new cancellation procedure

fails with an error, like F5362, the release to accounting is stopped.

You have two possibilites:

1. change the billing date of the cancellation invoice. This is possible in the header details.

2. apply the note 339928 to make the system tries the old cancellation

procedure if the new one fails with error message

(RULE_NEW_CANCEL = B).

Hi Srinivas

As the billing document i.e., the billing date is 31.12.2006 and when you where trying to post this document as the fiscal year has changed that is the reason you are facing errors "Posting date must not be smaller than 01.01.2007". So kindly discuss with your Finance and Material mgmt teams as they need to close the Fiscal year and month-end dates also
