Unable to initialize device PRN

Hi Experts,

I created external command in windows NT with os command 'print filename' .

When i executed this command getting the error 'Unable to intialize device PRN'

But i can able to take print outs from front end, is there anything to configure?

Yes that is because the SAP system doesn't have printer definitions or device definitions of the printer installed in your frontend machine.

The better method is to defined a front-end printer in SPAD called LOCL & call it. This will automatically call the spooler of your front-end machine.
