NW with Oracle on Windows

I am beginner for SAP. For this, I have download SAPNWABAP701SR1_TRIAL.part1.rar and SAPNWABAP701SR1_TRIAL.part2.rar from this website. Also, I download Oracle database. Now, i want to install NW with oracle database. Because, my company is required as same and I need to prepare myself accordingly. Would you please help me about - how to install NW with oracle on window(and oracle solaris, windows env. only for my laptop. Later, I will install it on server with Oracle solaris). It will be very fine for me if guide me about basic adminstration for NW, oracle and oracle solaris. Hope, i will be able to go intermediate steps in this way. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

1. Install Windows 2003 with SP2

2. Install Java sdk 1.4.2 and set the envroinment variable in system envroinment for Java home (Ex c:\jsdk1.4.2_13)

3. Increase the virtual memory

4. Install the Oracle Software using sapserver.cmd (located at extracted Oracle dump downloaded from SAP Marketplace)

(Need to provide the SAP system ID to proceed the installation)

5. Set the ORACLE home in system envroinment (EX ORACLE_HOME - d:\oracle\<SDI>\102_64)

6. Install the Oracle patch.

7. Run the SAPINST tool from Master DVD to install the SAP instance

Follow the procedure as mentioned by Varadu

(In the step 7, Instead of MAXDB, you ahve to choose Oracle )

8. Do the post installtion acitvity as mentioned in the installation guide.

I suggest, you must follow installagion guide https://service.sap.com/instguides and select your application and then your OS / DB.

Hi,

The download package itself contains a detailed installation guide and information about the evaluation developer license. Please find it. Only, You will have to execute start.bat file to start the installation and will have to follow the installation instruction as per installation guide.

The system requirements as mentioned[ over this link|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/downloads?rid=/library/uuid/c0d7422b-4ee9-2b10-0baf-af588a2126f4] should meet before starting such installation.
